As part of the Urban Monk thing I have managed to find the space and a little inspiration to start writing. I have started to plan a few articles, if no one wants them then they may end up here on this weblog. I don’t want the latter to happen, I might have to invent a new weblog to host any unwanted writings. Two possible places that may take articles from me are RelevantMagazine and 24-7Prayer. If this writing thing gets out of the front door then I would rather not write in a manner that reinforces a sacred-secular divide, but like all the artists I’ll have to prove myself.
“What’s this about you being a writer? I’m surprised that you managed to keep up a weblog!” Well, it is just something that I have been encouraged and challenged about, so I thought that I would give it a go. My writing will hopefully be better than just extentions of weblog posts about beards, but hey who knows. I don’t want to write books; if I wrote a book I imagine a few flecks of inspirational profundity lost in an economy size bucket of sandwich filler. If you would like to support me in my writing I will accept financial donations that will only be used for writing purposes, if stated. Like for example I can’t afford a bic-biro at the moment. Others ways to support me include just being available to chat, posting good stuff on your weblogs to inspire me and introducing me to opportunities.
