The evening sneaked upon me earlier than expected. I currently have difficulty keeping up with the days never mind sunlight saving. I stayed in all day and listened to the self titled Jurassic 5 album having lost my Power In Numbers CD somewhere between Didsbury and Moss Side. I also watched the fire engine turn up, after my housemate had called them out for the second time in 10 minutes. It seems the start of half term break and the end of the summer* is celebrated by the local kids with a ritual burning of bins and running around the back alleys with an accompaniment of flames. The pyromanic behaviour brings forth spontaneous and daylight firework displays to the harmonic sounds of frightened dogs.
Ooh, I can’t wait to see how the kids entertain themselves through the half-term break… may mean more street football for me. This week will also see in the transformations conference. I bunch of Ugandans doing spiritual stuff, we get to do 24-4 during it. Also, my friend Joe (aka Sox) is visiting me in Moss Side, I can’t wait. The down fall being that a busy week coincides with my brother’s birthday and my parent’s wedding anniversary, so i won’t be able to visit them.
I have finally found Will And John’s Excellent Adventure!.
*how come summer ends just before the on set of winter? No wonder autumn and spring don’t get as much credit as winter and summer!
