No Fixed Abode

Once upon a time the pagans used to have a big festival near the end of December. Once upon a time some Christians stole the festive time, and gave it another name, to celebrate the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. So we celebrate the time when God became man in the form of His son. Someone stole the celebration from the Christians but didn’t change the name. They stole Christmas and no one put up a fight. They stole it in order to celebrate consumerism and materialism. Those are the gods, the idols of our days and they try to become man. No, they try to make man become them.

I got paid today, just in time for Christmas. I get to go buy stuff now. It would be rude not to. I get to walk into the temples, kneel at the shrines and give my offering. I do understand what Christmas is about and what it is supposed to be about. So, I give the idols the finger, turn my back and look at Jesus. I will sing, dance and party in remembrance of the day that what I’m living for was born.
