Snow

Snow is freaking brilliant. Ok, so we don’t have much and it has half melted to re-freeze into a highly treacherous jagged ice covering across most of Manchester, but it is still brilliant. Overrated? Well, it is the redemption of an otherwise depressing grey miserable winter. Snow, alongside those bright blue frosty mornings that rarely happen in Manchester, put a smile on my face; all of a sudden the world is bright and fun again. At this point I would like to notify you all on recent victories leaving me and Rus as the undefeated snowball champions of Egerton Road. If I can’t find my boss today - that is why I am not at work - I hope to wander off into the Peaks with Paul for some winter tomfoolery.

I’m with this guy…

24-7Prayer UK Gathering

I’m not a fan of conferences and I am not alone in that within the 24-7prayer movement, hence this was the first conference for a couple of years. It was good to catch up with friends and build up a nice I.O.U bill with them. Red Moon Rising has been added to my growing bedside/little-cord-bag library, actually this new book from Pete Greig has been promoted straight to priority reading. Order your UK edition or US edition now.

It was good to catch up with friends, those that blog and those that don’t. I didn’t have a life changing God experience but found myself in a situation where I knew, with clarity, that God had just spoken straight to me. My friends knew it too. Who knows, what was said may evolve into a hugely life changing moment?! It was good to realise that I am still in tune with the movement and what God is doing even though I may have lost some touch with the movement’s core.
