Mobile Clubbing?

Stumbled across Mobile Clubbing while researching current flash mobs. I have failed to find recent activity or any planned flash mobs in the near future within Manchester. There are some rumours of people trying to sort it out in the city. I find it all quite fascinating. What do you reckon?

Crap Tents

Mobile post: It’s the middle of the night and we’ve given up our attempt to watch the sun rise. Having arrived at the site in the dark we knew setting up camp was going to be a mission. Situated on a cliff-top the field is battered by a stiff coastal wind. So when we have finally erected our tiniest so called two man tents it is fully laughable when we realise there’s no outer sheet. Improvisation is the only way forward, especially with storms forecast for Wales. A spare groundsheet has been loosely pegged over the top of our tent, now don’t forget that groundsheet don’t have doorways! Half-three seemed to be a good time to go to bed and it soon becomes even more clear that this is truly a child sized toy tent and even though I’m not exactly tall there is no way I can lie straight without my feet tasting fresh air. Let’s see what the sunrise brings!

When September Comes

That phrase has be rattling around in my head all summer, and curiously I seemed to attach hope to it. Well, September is here and let’s see what comes of that hope.

Currently the stuff of my life is in bags and boxes, mostly in storage at a friend’s place. I, on the other hand, have hiked across town for the last couple of days. For a wee while I’m going to be doing some couch and bed hopping until I get somewhere to live sorted.

God has spent the summer teaching me about the Spirit of Poverty, and had he told me that at the start I probably would have got myself a book or something. As it is I’m not all that informed on details but the little that I have learnt I believe is quite significant and is leaving an impression on my lifestyle. God has also provided graciously as ever, thank you to all those who give.

And what for the future? Well, we’ll see what happens.
