Many thanks to Jonah and Samuel for the server space, which has allowed my weblog to be reborn.
It is currently 3years old and is growing up. Having installed WordPress I now need to learn how to use it; nevermind, getting to grips with PHP, XHTML and CSS.
To help me through all this I have equally if not even more geeky friends at hand online and a number of little Mac OS X apps that can be downloaded from versiontracker.com, phew.
So, the plan is to get the site looking half decent again; for the time being you’ll have to put up with this default template style.
I found this today in a new store in Manchester. The hideous pink doll works like a magic eight ball. You ask a question, give it a little wiggle and turn upside down to read the advice on the base. The pink icon will tell you such things as ‘I would!’ or ‘Follow me’. It is funny but so wrong.
Supposedly Jean Paul Gaultier is launching (has launched?) a male make-up range! There’s a show on the’idiot box’ at the moment called Beautiful Boys featuring mostly guys over thirty trying on eye liner even though they aren’t in a heavy metal band. It doesn’t just end with foundation and concealer. There’s the full body waxing, botox, lipo-suction, and plastic surgery. Obviously there’s an overwhelming and deep seated pressure on women to look good but is it right to encourage this pressure in the male scene also?
