Springwatch

I think I could hear Mr Wenham shrieking in delight* at about 8pm tonight, cutting through the clips of birdsong coming out of BBC2. For it is that time of year again, when nature lovers, especially those keen on sausages ornithology, get to join Bill Oddie and team with their live nest/burrow/barn/pond cams.

Now come on, you have to admit that those moles are cute. It’s also pretty relaxing to watch, which is nice. There we go, Springwatch is nice TV.

*this is a lie.

X-Men 3: Not A Movie Review

X-Men 3. Entertaining, special effects action, with a good twist, which doesn’t stray too far from the original stories.

I stayed to the end of the credits for a special extra clip that they save for those with the patience, and insider tip, to stay that long. The auditorium was filled with an audible gasp by the fellow geeks. And geeks a plenty to be found there last night as it was opening night.

So the questions are:

  1. Where do you stand?
  2. What would your mutant power be and why?*
  3. What would your special name be and why?

My problem with movie reviews is that they usually tell you more than you want to know about the plot and what to expect. I prefer them short and sweet, but not those out of context tag lines.

*No fun if you want to have godly super powers; keep to the X-Men ethos of working as a team.
