I rocked up into a cold and damp warehouse, with life’s stuff on my back, four years to the day ago. The warehouse was refitted as a prayer house and drop-in chill-out cafe. I was committed to 3 months, then another, then another, then another, and then we closed the project down.
Three years on from the close and I’m still in Manchester. Not exactly sure what I’m doing here, but I have my eyes open to see what comes of a seed we planted those three years ago.
Here’s to seeds, roots, sprouts and first leaves!
September 19th is International Talk Like A Pirate Day.
Arrrr!
Becoming famous after an appearance in the TV documentary ‘The Boy with the Incredible Brain‘ last year and for his European record for remembering, recounting, reciting pi to it’s 22′524th digit, Daniel Tammet is back in the lime-light. This time it is mostly publicity for his new book, ‘Born On A Blue Day‘.
Does anyone have this book, which I could borrow?
From a quick surf, Daniel changed his second name to derive from the Estonian word Tamm meaning oak, he is gay, Christian, and enjoys the thoughts of G. K. Chesterton. It is for his amazing gifts that come with being an autistic savant that set him apart for so much attention. And in particular, his ability to explain how he does what he does. Fascinating.
